Day 1
Kigali
Arrive at Kigali airport. City trip, visit Genocide memorial.

Day 2
Kigali - Butare - Nyungwe
Drive to Butare (Huye) where you can visit the national museum and Nyanza Hill (both activities optional). Afterwards transfer to Nyungwe Forest.
Medium budget: Gisakura Guesthouse (B&B)
High budget: Ibis Hotel (B&B)
Day 3
Nyungwe Forest
Nyungwe is one of East Africa's largest forests, with 13 monkey species, including chimpanzees. Make a walk through the forest in search of monkeys and birds, do the waterfall trail or track the chimpanzees.

Day 4
Nyungwe - Kibuye - Gisenyi (Lake Kivu)
We drive to Kibuye on the shores of Lake Kivu, where we will have lunch. Afterwards we proceed to Gisenyi, where we will spend the night.

Day 5
Gisenyi - Volcanoes National Park
Relax at the beach in the morning, or go for a nature walk along the shore. In the afternoon we drive to the Volcanoes National Park.

High budget: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (B&B)
Day 6
Volcanoes National Park
Gorilla tracking!!! The bamboo forest will drip around you as you first hear the breaking of bamboo signaling the group is near and then you will be face to face with one of the most delightful and fascinating creatures in the world. After an hour's viewing you will make the trek back to the lodge. Relax at the lodge or make a nature walk through a beautiful scenery afterwards (optional).

Day 7
Volcanoes National Park - Kigali
Nature walk in the national park, visit the golden monkeys or climb a volcano. Optional 2nd day of gorilla tracking. Afterwards drive to Kigali.

Kigali
Transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
