Day 1
Kigali - Butare - Nyanza - Nyungwe Forest National Park
Arrival in the morning on the airport of Kigali. Transfer to Butare (Huye) where you can visit the national museum and Nyanza Hill (both activities optional). Afterwards transfer to Nyungwe Forest.

Day 2
Nyungwe Forest  National Park
Nyungwe is one of East Africa's largest forests, with 13 monkey species, including chimpanzees. Make a walk through the forest in search of chimpanzees, monkeys and birds, or do the waterfall trail.

High Budget: Hotel Ibis (B&B)

Day 3
Nyungwe Forest  National Park - Volcanoes National Park
Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park.

Day 4
Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast we bring you to the starting point of the gorilla tracking. After the briefing you begin your tracking of the gorillas. The bamboo forest will drip around you as you first hear the breaking of bamboo signaling the group is near and then you will be face to face with one of the most delightful and fascinating creatures in the world. After an hour's viewing you will make the trek back to the lodge.

Day 5
Volcanoes National Park
Optional activities for today: Make a nature walk in the national park, visit the golden monkeys, climb a volcano, visit Dian Fossey's Grave or make another gorilla tracking. It is also possible to visit the Twin Lakes, Lake Ruhondo and Lake Burera (optional).

Day 6
Volcanoes National Park - Kigali
Transfer to Kigali for your outbound flight. If time allows you can make a city tour through Kigali.
